HEREFORD Farmers' Club will go under the hammer today.
The iconic building, based on Widemarsh Street, is offered for sale by public auction at 3pm with a guide price of £300,000.
Auctioneers Brightwells describe the property as ideal for use as licensed premises, a restaurant or a cafe, a retail shop, or offices.
The property originally comprised the East Gate into the city and dates from the early 17th century with 19th century additions.
The auction will take place on the premises.
The building opened as a private members club in 1926 and will be fondly remembered by those farmers who supported it, especially on market days.
