A MAN has been brutally beaten in front of his four-year-old grandchild in Hereford.
Police today released this CCTV still of a man who officers believe could help with inquiries into the attack at The Oval, Newton Farm.
The victim, in his 50s, needed hospital treatment to his injuries after the attack on the evening of March 24.
Sgt Tim Hargraves said the victim had stopped at The Oval to let four people – two men and two women in their 20s – cross the road.
The group began to talk to him, so he opened his car door to see what they wanted and was then punched several times to the face by one of the men in the group.
“What’s particularly upsetting about this incident is that the victim’s four-year-old grandchild was in the car at the time of the assault and saw what happened.” said Sgt Hargraves.
