TUPSLEY’S answer to Ground Force are bidding for a £40,000 grant to give a local park a major facelift.
The Central Tupsley Community Group will use the money to renovate popular park the Quarry – tarmacing paths and replacing fencing in their latest local revamp.
Having already raised £2,500 themselves, the group secured the £7,500 from the Hereford City Council Community Grants Scheme they need to apply for a £40,000 grant from environmental trust Veolia.
If successful, local contractors will get straight to work, aiming to get the project polished off in time for a celebratory picnic on July 20 or 21.
