Visiting restrictions on a Hereford County Hospital ward have today been lifted.
The restrictions had been put in place on Arrow Ward following cases of diarrhoea and vomiting, caused by the winter vomiting bug.
Arrow Ward opened its doors to visitors today following a deep-clean and as there had been no new cases for 48 hours.
It still remains very important that any visitors with diarrhoea and/or vomiting do not visit the hospital until they have been free of symptoms for 48 hours.
Visitors are requested to practice good hand hygiene and use the alcohol gels available in all wards and departments.
Wye Valley NHS Trust thanked all patients and visitors for their understanding during this period and to emphasise that these restrictions were put in place to protect our patients, as part of a zero tolerance approach to healthcare associated infections.
