KNIT-IN – The Bodenham Romania support group will be holding a knit-in next Thursday, April 25, at 14 Brockington Road from 2pm to 4pm. Visitors are always welcome. There is no charge for anything and wool can be provided if needed. Gifts of any spare rug or knitting wool are always appreciated. Call Pat Horrigan on 01568 797044.
THE BODENHAM SPRING FESTIVAL – Bodenham’s 2013 spring festival will be held at various locations in the village on May 3-12. Events planned include an evening of poetry reading and appreciation, a scarecrow competition, a school open afternoon, a musical evening, a breakfast event, a special amateur radio station, classic cars, a produce market and table sales, walks, an art exhibition, fun runs, a gardening club meeting that will be free to non-members, a pub quiz, a fourpiece ceilidh band and much more. Many of the events are free and the rest will be reasonably priced. There will often be food available. Everyone is welcome to join in. Full-colour leaflets giving details of all the events are now available from Bodenham post office and the other usual outlets.
DESERT ISLAND DISCS – Bodenham’s own version of Desert Island Discs will be held at 7pm tomorrow (Friday), in the parish hall and will feature musical choices by local residents. Tickets £7 including wine and light refreshments. Full details from Jim Crane on 01568 797095.
QUIZ NIGHT – Lugg Valley Friends, Cancer Research UK invite you to a quiz night April 26, at Bodenham parish hall. Doors open at 7.15 for a 7.30pm start.
Entrance charge £6 per person including light refreshments and tea/coffee. No alcoholic drinks will be available but BYO if desired. Teams of four-six people or make up a team on the night.

BODENHAM LEISURE CLUB – The club will hold its AGM on Monday at 2.30pm in Bodenham parish hall. This will be followed by a film on the Elan Valley.
There will be a raffle, sales table and light refreshments.
