HEREFORD’S Gaol Street Health Centre has reopened following a £300,000 makeover.
Staff and patients returned to the centre this month to find the reception, waiting areas and treatment rooms all transformed.
The six-month project was funded by the Herefordshire Primary Care Trust which worked closely with the Wye Valley NHS Trust.
Marcia Perry, Service Unit Manager at Wye Valley NHS Trust, said: “We’re delighted with the transformation of the facilities at Gaol Street Health Centre, which will benefit our patients and staff.
“We wish to thank our patients for their understanding and our staff for continuing to provide high standards of clinical care while the work was undertaken”.
The Integrated Sexual Health Service has also amended its opening times following feedback from patients.
The service now includes extended young people’s clinics and a lunchtime express checkout clinic.
