HEREFORDSHIRE Business Board (HBB) is looking to recruit additional members.
The key role of the HBB is to represent the collective interests of the private sector with the board influencing decisions about key development projects in the county.
Neil Kerr, HBB chair, said: “Our overarching objective is to help create new jobs in the county, and since its inception in December 2010, the HBB has had some great successes - not least leading the team that helped gain Enterprise Zone status for Skylon Park.
"The board works closely with Herefordshire Council and supports several grant schemes which help start-ups and growing businesses in the county.
“Being a member of the HBB is a great opportunity to help shape the economic future of the county.
"We meet bi-monthly, the meetings regularly feature outside speakers, and members have the opportunity to take part in related project work.”
Members of the board will be from the private sector and show an understanding of Herefordshire’s profile and economic development needs.
Visit www.herefordshirebusinessboard.co.uk/join-us/ for full details of the application process.
The closing date for applications is Friday May 17.
