THE Visit Herefordshire office is to remain in Hereford city centre.

The King Street office will now remain in place after Visit Herefordshire and Herefordshire Council agreed the terms of a new lease.

Councillor Roger Phillips, cabinet member for economic development and culture, said: “This means that Visit Herefordshire can continue to build a stable business from a central location in Hereford and will be able to focus on the marketing and promotion of the county and to build on the success of the Food Festival to bring wider economic benefit to the county.“

Sir Ben Gill, chairman of Visit Herefordshire, said he was pleased that a formula was found to allow the organisation to stay in the centre of the city in a cost effective manner.

"This solution provides a ‘win, win’ outcome for all those with an interest in the successful promotion of tourism in Herefordshire,” he said.

The Visit Herefordshire and the Discover Herefordshire offices are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.
