A LEOMINSTER action group is calling on the town council to reject plans for a new superstore.
The friends of Leominster town centre action group are recommending county planners refuse permission for a 50,000 sq ft Sainsbury’s store on the site of Dales factory on Mill Street.
Leominster Town Council will consider the plan and give a verdict on May 7 before Herefordshire Council’s planning committee make a decision at a later date.
The friends also raise concerns about the prospect of 'traffic gridlock' on Mill Street in the vicinity of the railway level crossing.
