TWO men who are ‘terrified’ of heights will attempt to conquer their fear on Mount Everest.
Sam Edwards and Mark Harrison, from Hereford, will take on the Everest Base Camp challenge in April next year, and are aiming to raise £3,200 each for the British Heart Foundation.
Sam, aged 31, said they are “absolutely petrified” about the challenge but wanted to do something big for charity.
He added: “I’ve skydived before to raise money for the BHF as it means a lot to me.
“My grandad Geoffrey died of a stroke and Mark’s family has a history of heart disease. But we are both really scared of heights so I hope this will help us conquer our fear.”
They have organised various events to help in their fund-raising effort, including a quiz night and a Full Monty strip night in September.
