FOLLOWING the success of Dancefest and the Music Pool’s production of Mole in a Hole, involving disabled and nondisabled performers, Dancefest is starting a new weekly dance class for disabled and non-disabled children and young people aged 10-15.
The classes, led by Lauren Glendinning, a freelance dance artist for Dancefest and a dance movement psychotherapist, will include energetic warm-ups, learning new contemporary and street style dance and technique.
“It will be an exciting opportunity for disabled and nondisabled children and young people to interact, dance and perform together,” she says.
Classes are on Wednesdays at 3.45pm-4.45pm at Westfields Community Hall. The cost is £4.20 per week or £21 for half a term of six sessions.
