HELP is needed to survey the rare wood white butterfly in the north of the county.
The fast declining species is thought to have only 50 colonies remaining in the UK and Herefordshire is now a national stronghold.
Butterfly Conservation in Herefordshire will begin their first survey at 11am on May 19 at the entrance of Shobdon Hill Wood.
