THE borders area association of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society (the Brecon and Borders Welsh Pony and Cob Breeders Association) is holding its first summer show on Saturday, June 22.
The association is one of the oldest within the WPCS and felt that it was time to organise a show which is affiliated to both the WPCS and the NPS.
A significant amount of sponsorship has been received from both members and local businesses.
A fashion show, held at The Lion Hotel in Builth with members modelling country clothing from local retailers, also provided more than £800.
This will enable a full schedule of classes, both in-hand and ridden to be held at Brecon Showground.
The champion of each WPCS section will receive one of the society’s prestigious bronze rosettes. Winners will also qualify for The National Welsh Championship Show to be held at The Three Counties Showground in Malvern.
For the show schedule and entry form, please visit bbwpcba.com or send an SAE to the Show Secretary, Tynewydd, Llandefalle, Brecon LD3 0NR.
