POLICE searching for a missing Longtown man have found a body.

Officers and the Longtown Mountain Rescue Team had been searching the Black Mountains around Red Darren after Fergus Rainey had not been seen since Sunday.

The 45-year-old's car was found parked nearby and he was classed as a high risk missing person.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death at this stage and a post-mortem examination is due to take place on Monday.

The Herefordshire coroner has been informed.
