THE Cart Shed has been awarded a bursary by the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society to create a show garden for the Spring Festival on Saturday (May 18) and Sunday (May 19).
For several weeks young people on the Live and Learn programme, from a number of Herefordshire high schools, have been working with tutor Roger Ings to create a structure comprising of hazel hurdles and cleft wood fencing at its woodland site near Almeley.
The garden design is based on the Cart Shed logo and was designed by David Grey from Newport House for the project.
The festival is held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth and is open 9am to 6pm on both days.
The Cart Shed is a community interest company which aims to transform peoples live's through engaging with the natural environment.
It offers a range of activities at its sites at Newport House, Top Wood and The Cart Shed Devereux Wootton, all located in
north-west Herefordshire.
