LEOMINSTER MP Bill Wiggin visited the town's farmers market to coincide with the ‘Love Your Local Market’ fortnight.
This runs from today (May 15) until May 29 and encourages members of the public to be aware of what they have on their doorstep by trying their local market.
“Local markets are a fantastic way of encouraging people to shop and buy local produce and see what is grown or reared in their local area," said Mr Wiggin.
“It was a great pleasure to pay a visit to Leominster Farmers Market on Saturday too, where I took the opportunity to talk with suppliers and stall holders.
“I welcomed the opportunity to promote Leominster, its markets and its outstanding produce.”
The Love Your Local Market campaign was started in 2012 in response to Mary Portas's review of the high street.
