CRICKET CLUB - The club presents Bands on The Rec on Saturday, when there will be two bands playing in a marquee on the Rec – Point Zero and Deep Sea Circus. Barbecue and bar, 8pm, £3 entry. Come and enjoy the music.
KINGTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY - The speaker for today (Thursday) is Ursula Buchan with A Plant for all Seasons. The meeting takes place in the masonic hall, Headbrook, at 7.30pm, doors open at 7pm. Visitors welcome, £5 at the door.
KINGTON CRICKET CLUB - Winners of the May draw for the 300 Club were: first Evelyn Watts, £30; second Richard Oliver, £20; third RWHall, £10; fourth Colin Stokes, £10. Nets every Wednesday, 6pm till 8pm, outside by the leisure centre. All welcome.
KINGTON AND DISTRICT OPERATIC SOCIETY - KADOS has a foot tapping repertoire for its summer charity concerts featuring songs from the shows, old and new and delightful theme tunes such as Howard Goodall’s musical setting for Psalm 23, the well-loved TV theme tune for the Vicar of Dibley. For Gilbert and Sullivan lovers, the society will be singing G and S songs at the Victorian Concert, The Pavilion, Llandrindod Wells and at Aston Munslow near Ludlow.
