CLASSIC VEHICLES AT MADLEY - This year’s event is on June 8, in the Glebe Field next to the church. There will be a small charge to cover expenses and contribute to village funds. The programme for the day is as follows: Meet, park and register at around 10.30am in the Glebe field (or alternative venue if wet). Mingle, chat and have coffee until just before noon and then drive to the Castlefields country pub and restaurant near Clifford for lunch. This drive is not compulsory but it will give participants a chance to see the cars and bikes in action. Those who want to stay in the village can lunch at the Red Lion or Comet pubs or bring a picnic. At 1.30pm return to Madley village and take part in the church fete with all its traditional activities. Participants are welcome to join at this stage if they are unable to make the earlier part of the day.
