REGARDED as one of the most authentic and sensitive performers of Leonard Cohen’s poetry and music, Keith James will be in concert at Lyde Court on Friday, May 24, performing The Songs of Leonard Cohen.
Over the past two years Keith has completed three successful national tours of this concert.
Performing this music has proved, says Keith, to be one of the greatest honours in a 30-year career in music.
“I am endeavouring to pare each song back to its central core and original sense of purpose by performing each song as near to the way it was originally written, exposing Cohen’s unprecedented sense of humanity,” he said.
Doors open at 6pm with a pre-show performance by cellist Sonia Hammond. Food (pre-booking essential) at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. Book at lydecourt.com
