PUPILS at nine county schools are sowing the seeds for success in their own special garden which will be enjoyed by thousands of people this summer.
The schools will each be creating a box garden for a competition at this year’s Shobdon Food and Flying Festival, on June 29 and 30.
Among the primary schools taking part are Shobdon, Ivington, Leintwardine and Wigmore.
Their creations will take pride of place on the new festival site at Shobdon Airfield, where the festival, now in its eighth year, will combine a plethora of food exhibitions, tastings, demonstrations and musical entertainment with Herefordshire Aero Club’s annual aviation weekend.
The one metre square gardens will be judged by Simon Thomas of Lyonshall Nurseries.
