FOUR Herefordshire businesses have scooped glittering awards from a group which celebrates the best of food and drink from across the region.
Rowlestone Farmhouse Ice Cream, Tyrrells Potato Crisps, Hedonist Bakery and Ye Olde Steppes have all scooped awards at the Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF) Diamond Awards at a gala dinner at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
Rowlestone Farmhouse Ice Cream, Rowlestone, was the big winner after winning the Desserts Diamond Award, and then overall Special Diamond Award for Taste for its Raspberry Sorbet.
Each of the winning category products went in front of a second tasting panel with Rowlestone Farmhouse Ice Cream’s Raspberry Sorbet coming out on top.
Tyrrells Potato Crisps, Leominster, won the Special Diamond Award Grow, which recognises excellence in business growth. Hedonist Bakery, Ross-on-Wye, won the Special Diamond Award Innovate which recognises excellence in business innovation.
Ye Olde Steppes, a village shop and tearoom in Pembridge, took the Special Diamond Award for Hospitality.
