PEMBRIDGE OPEN GARDENS - June 8 and 9, 11am till 5pm. More than 13 gardens will be open and the entrance fee of £5 also includes half-price entry to Westonbury Mill Water Gardens.
A history exhibition will be on view in St Mary’s Church with its medieval bell tower. Teas will be on sale in the church, The Olde Steppes and the cafe on Bridge Street, plus lunches at The New Inn and the Red Lion. Pembridge craft and produce market will take place in the market hall.
Tickets are on sale at The Olde Steppes, The Old Chapel Gallery and Victoria Place.
PEMBRIDGE SHOW - This year’s preparations for the show on July 27 are well underway following the event’s cancellation last year due to flooding. The Axe Men will head the entertainment and organisers are hoping for good entries in the exhibit marquee with vegetables, flowers, flower arranging, cookery and handicrafts.
The committee is desperately searching for a gymkhana organiser to avoid its cancellation.

OFFICE PLAN - Kingspan Insulation is seeking permission to build a new office block to house IT staff and equipment.
A planning application for the Pembridge site was submitted last week.
