CHEESE AND CIDER FOLK EVENING - Will be held today (Thursday) at Monkland Cheese Dairy at 7.30pm. PARISH MEETING - At the annual parish meeting Dr Jenny Barnes was re-elected chairman of the parish council. At the meeting it was decided to ask for tenders for the hay on Monkland Common. This is approximately 11 acres of good quality hay – all enquiries to the parish clerk.
MONKLAND BINGO PLAYERS - Have raised £310 for St Michael's Hospice appeal. Bingo is every Friday evening in the village hall, eyes down at 8pm.
YOGA - On Monday evenings in the village hall, yoga with Lyn.
This is a yoga session suitable for any age from eight to 88. Sessions are from 6pm to 7pm and cost just £1 and everyone is welcome.
CHURCH SERVICES - At All Saints Church every Sunday at 11am, everyone is welcome.
MONKLAND FETE - This year is on June 29 commencing at 2pm at Beeches.
