BOWLING CLUB - This last week saw two more good wins for the Bowling Club. At the weekend, it played Bulmers and completed the double over them with the narrowest of victories, 77-76. Best rink for the home club was skippered by Phil Sharp, supported by Lynda Lynne, Sheila Kruft and Ray Jones. The other winning rink was skippered by Tony Stokes.
In midweek, Eardisland travelled to take on Hereford Bowling Club and came away with another fine win, again notching up the ‘double’. Jonathon Farndon’s rink of Martin Richards, Lynda Lynne and Ray Jones recorded a resounding 34-10 victory. With Phil Sharp’s rink also winning as Eardisland came away with a comfortable 14 shot win, 87-73.
EARDISLAND GARDENS - The gardeners are gearing up for their busiest weekend of the year, ready to welcome hundreds of friends old and new to the annual open gardens weekend on June 23 and 24, a very popular and successful fund-raising event for the village.
