HEREFORD Rowing Club sent three crews to the Veteran's Fours Head held on the River Thames on the 4-mile course between Mortlake and Putney.
Two crews were entered in Women's Veteran B Coxed Fours and took the first two places with Clare Fenton, Alex Look, Angie Whitehead, Helen Phillips and cox Tom Fenton winning by a margin of 1 min 4 secs from Veronica Preedy, Emma Poole, Julie Ward, Jo Cross and cox Robin Morris.
The Men's Veteran C crew of Rod Phillips, Phil Hart, Richard Bissell and Chris Jones, coxed by Daniel Hart, were unlucky to to lose by a margin of less than 2 secs to Crabtree Boat Club after battling with them down the entire course.
The next event is Wycliffe Head on Saturday where the club will have a large entry.
