PARISH COUNCIL - At a meeting on June 4, Lee Batstone, head of Madley school, reported on what has been happening at school over the last 12 months. Members were impressed and congratulated him on his thriving and successful school. Parking by parents dropping off and collecting from school was still causing a problem and for the safety of the public it was urged that parents park sensibly and responsibly. There is a vacancy for a parish paths’ officer – if you enjoy walking and would be interested in this voluntary role, please contact the clerk for details. Following the resignation of vice-chairman David Williams, there is now also a vacancy for a parish councillor – please contact the clerk for details. The next meeting will be on July 2 at 7.15pm in the parish hall. All welcome.
