CHURCH - On Sunday there will be a service of Holy Communion at Aymestrey at 9.30am.
FLOWERS - Aymestrey Flower Festival is from August 16 to 18 in St John the Baptist and St Alkmund Church in Aymestrey, entitled A Patchwork of Flowers and will include quilted biblical blocks. HISTORY EXHIBITION - Running alongside the flower festival will be a history exhibition in Aymestrey Parish Hall, showing Aymestrey and Leinthall Earls as they were in days gone by. Organisers of the exhibition are asking anyone who has pictures of parish people, places or events which could be used in the display to contact Meg Thorpe or Chrissie Lawson. Refreshments will be available.
CONCERT - Eardisland Village Band’s flower festival concert will take place in Aymestrey church on August 17, at 7.30pm. Tickets, available on the door, are £6 with children admitted free.
