ROGER Gregory, a BD trainer from Worcestershire, has qualified for the National Dressage after winning the Inter 1 scoring over 70 per cent at Somerford Park.
He also came second in the PSG only narrowing missing out to Matt Frost. Roger and Comanche Wodan have worn two regionals in the same year (winter and the summer) which is a brilliant achievement.
On top of this he has also been given a wild card for the Inter 2 due to his high score gained at the horses first Premier League.
Roger owns his own dressage yard and holds lessons and clinics locally as well as farther afield catering for all levels of riders and abilities.
He not only teaches pure dressage riders but also riding-club and event riders who are competing up to four star.
He is very much respected within the dressage field, training and producing his own horses – Comanche Crumble was sold to young British rider Eilidh Grant and has gone on to represent Britain in the Euros – and has had many wins with his current two horses this year.
He is now looking at doing a small tour and international in the next year and has gained his first sponsorship from Blue Chip to start him on his way.
Roger is also currently working for the Hereford Academy sixth form delivering the BTEC level three qualification to students who wish to follow a career within the industry.
In his first year of delivering this course the students have achieved a distinction level in a sub-dip and diploma as well as the underpinning knowledge of working with dressage horses.
