FLOWER FESTIVAL AND OPEN GARDENS - A flower festival and six riverside gardens will be open to visitors on September 21 and 22, during Eardisland’s Autumn Festival weekend. Music lovers will enjoy the Brecon Male Voice Choir and guest soloist Emma Powell in the church at 7pm on September 21, and Songs of Praise at 6.30pm on September 22.

BOWLING CLUB - The club has been in action twice in the last week, recording home victories against Leominster and Presteigne. The former by 87 shots to 59, included a win on all four rinks, the best being a 32 shots to 8 win by skip Phil Sharp and his rink of Mavis Tantrum, Phil Lynne and Phil Powell. The latter, by 72 shots to 61, included three winning rinks, the best once again being skipped by Phil Sharp, with Cheryl Morgan, John Hill and Dave Bray.
