FESTIVAL OF CHURCHES - Kingstone church will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am till 4pm as part of the Festival of Churches event. There will be a display and slide presentation of Church and Village Past.
Refreshments will be served. The church will also stay open until 6pm on Saturday to sign in passing riders and striders taking part in the Herefordshire Historic Churches annual sponsored Ride and Stride and offer them free refreshments. Sponsorship forms for anyone wishing to take part for Kingstone in the sponsored event are available from Mr Geary at Blackthorn on 01981 250538 or in the church on the day.
LUNCH BOX - Cooked lunch will be served in Kingstone Village Hall at noon on Wednesday for just £5 per two-course meal. This will continue on the first and third Wednesdays in the month until the special Christmas lunch in December.
AFRICAN EVENING - The Cage Brook Parishes’ African evening will take place in Eaton Bishop Village Hall from 7pm on September 21, to raise money for the Hegongo School in Tanzania – the school sponsored by the Abbeydore deanery. A Tanzanian-style meal will be served, and African-style clothing will be worn by those who are able. A few hymns in the Swahili language are being performed by a “choir” of local volunteers.

COME DANCING - A fun evening of dancing and jollity with Paul Hornsby is happening in Kingstone Village Hall on September 27, from 7.30pm.
Tickets for the event, to include a buffet supper with wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee, are on sale at only £7.50 for adults and £3.50 for children under 11 from Tiz 251303 or Paul 250677. A lively time is guaranteed.
