PIANO PUPIL SUCCESS - William Rawlinson gained a grade one distinction and Kelly Ann Davies a grade eight pass in their associated board of piano exams in the last academic year.
Both are pupils of Jean Salt who lives near Knighton.

COFFEE MORNING - Knighton Baptist Church will be holding a coffee morning next Thursday, September 19, from 10.30am to 11.30am. At the event there will be coffee, tea, bric-a-brac and a cake stall. Admission is free but there will be a box for donations.
The proceeds from this event will go to Nick Drury who is the nephew of Knighton Baptist Church member Hazel Peacock and will be joining a BMS Action team in Mozambique.
The July coffee morning raised £152 for the Knighton and District Food Bank.
HATHA YOGA - Hatha yoga classes will be starting in Knighton on Monday at 7pm in the Reynolds room at Knighton Community Centre. For more information, call 07807 523330.
KNIGHTON TOWN SILVER BAND - The results of the September 100 Club draw are: £15, Mr Gareth Price, Rhayader; £10, Mr Richie Owens, Knighton; £5, Mr Tony Taylor, Knighton.
INDOOR BOWLING - The indoor bowling season starts up again on Monday in the church hall, Knighton, with its AGM at 7pm.
All are welcome.
HEYOPE LADIES GUILD - The guild meets at Knucklas Community Hall on Tuesday at 7.30pm when Roger Bright and Bernard Edwards will be talking to members about old Knighton and some of its history.
