SUNDAY LUNCHES - Almeley Village Hall starts its season of Sunday lunches on October 6, £9.50 for three courses, 1pm start.
All food is locally sourced and freshly cooked. Booking is essential by October 2, on 01544 340635. The bar will be open and there will be a raffle.
FLICKS IN THE STICKS - Today (Thursday), 7.30pm in the village hall, the first film of the new season is Quartet (18). Doors open at 7pm; cabaret seating, raffle and bar.
