Bredwardine and Brobury OCTOBER CLUB DRAW - The Friends of St Andrew 100 club draw took place in the Red Lion Inn on October 3. First prize £50 Penny Nelson ticket number 87, second prize £25 Glen and Lisa Preece ticket number 75, third prize £15 Morgan Florence ticket number 104. The winner of the In It To Win It prize of £10 went to Jan Staley. Congratulations to all our winners and thanks to everyone for their support and making this such a lively evening.

IMPORTANT CHANGE OF DATE - The monthly coffee, cake and market will be held on October 18, not as advertised in the Link magazine. The market takes place in Bredwardine village hall and this month runs from 10am until 1pm. There are local and home baked produce: fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, jams, cakes and chutneys for sale and a range of arts and crafts. If you have something to sell tables can be rented for £1. BREDWARDINE H.ENERGY - Herefordshire’s fourth h.energy week runs from Saturday to October 20 . The week-long event is dedicated to achieving Herefordshire’s ambition to be a sustainable county and a record number of free events and activities have been planned throughout our communities.
This year’s event has been given a theme - water. This is a precious resource that, whilst often taken for granted, poses many challenges.
Bredwardine village hall is hosting an h.energy market on October 18, so join us for an extended market from 10am until 1pm to learn more about water capture, storage, use and reuse.
Also, in Bredwardine solar panels help to fund the village hall and during the market, performance data for several PV panels in the area will be on display. They can be purchased at the monthly village markets in Bredwardine on the second Friday of each month, at the 100 Club evenings at The Red Lion on the first Thursday of the month, or orders can be taken on 01981 500281; price £5 each, with all proceeds to St Andrew’s church. There was great demand for the calendars last year, so don’t delay.
