EIGHT BA (Hons) Textile Design students at Hereford College of Arts have been selected to display their work at May’s prestigious SELECT exhibition event, organised by Stroud International Textiles.
Yemi Taiwo, Amy Pegler, Rosie Michalik-Denny, Lucy Cooper, Josh Bolam, Daisy Bonham, Louise Russell and Rhian Whyman’s work will be on show in Stroud, and also at a satellite exhibition – Textiles@HCA Material Matters - at Hereford College of Arts’ College Road Campus until Wednesday, May 21.
Also on show will be work from established associated designers, including Margo Selby, Dash+Miller, Kate Farley, former student Chloe Scadding, and Sunny Todd and Helen Foot, who both teach at HCA alongside their professional practices.
The exhibition comes hot on the heels of the success of five students from the HCA course, who recently sold their work to some of the world’s top fashion houses in New York through their successful project with Indesign Recruitment, and offers the opportunity to be inspired by the work of established and well-known designers, as well as being able to preview the designs of the next big things currently studying at HCA.
Textiles@HCA Material Matters will be on show Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm at Hereford College of Arts, College Road, Hereford.
