FIREFIGHTERS put out a blaze in a car near Whitney-on-Wye this morning.
A crew from Kington used two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames at around 7am. No injuries were reported but the car was said to be "well alight".
Further south in the county, two crews from Whitchurch and Ross-on-Wye put out a fire in a road sweeper last night.
Two breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used to put out the fire which happened on the B4164 and is said to have "destroyed the vehicle".
The Environment Agency was informed as some diesel was leaked from the vehicle but no injuries were reported.
