A HEREFORDSHIRE woman is aiming to put the county on the map in a vintage pin-up competition.
Anne French, 28, from Lower Lyde, is taking part in Miss Pin-up UK.
The competition is aimed at women who 'embody timeless glamour and pin-up appeal', with the finals being held at the London Tattoo Convention in September.
"I have always liked vintage style but first got into vintage pin-up modelling this year in February, when I won a photo shoot with Betty Noir Photography," said Anne, who is also known as 'Frenchy-petite'.
"It made me feel pretty amazing and gave me a lot more confidence, so I then went on to have a portfolio shoot.
"Hannah Freeman, who is the founder and owner, mentioned Miss Pin-up to me then.
"I had the intention of entering next year to give me some time to prepare but asked my friends and family and they said to go for it this year"
The winner of the competition will receive a full page photo in Pin-Up America magazine, as well as a photo shoot with burlesque and period photographer Terry Mendonza.
