PART of a paper recycling plant near Ledbury was destroyed following a fire yesterday afternoon.
Fire crews from across the country were called to Wye Waste Paper in Pixley at around 1.30pm.
All staff members evacuated the site safely although firefighters were expected to be damping down for up to eight hours.
The cause of the blaze has not been established at the present time but is not thought to be malicious.
The main bulk of the fire was put out within an hour despite issues facing crews with water supplies.
The building affected measures 60m by 40m.
