THE driver of a bus which overturned on its way to school last month has returned home.
Eileen Hampton was in intensive care for several weeks with chest and abdominal injuries following the crash on the B4399 on November 10.
More than 20 pupils from the Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School and St Mary’s RC High School also visited Hereford County Hospital’s A&E department, suffering from minor injuries, following the accident.
A spokesman from PW Jones, the owners of the bus which overturned, said Ms Hampton is still “very poorly” and medics have said it could be up to three or four months until she fully recovers.
The spokesman added that Ms Hampton broke 10 bones and punctured her lungs during the incident.
• A 28-year-old man from Redditch was arrested in connection with the crash and is on police bail until January 11.
