FOUR cricket players are taking to their bikes to cycle from Ledbury to Monte Carlo.
James Fortnam, 24, Andy Lloyd, 26, Neil Stokes, 45 and Nicko Evans, 24 all play for Canon Frome Cricket Club.
On April 3 they are setting off from Ledbury to cycle to Monte Carlo in 13 days for The SMA Trust.
Mr Fortnam said: "Bored with the same fundraising events we had a crazy idea; to embark on an incredibly challenging cycle in April 2015 from Ledbury to Monte Carlo in the south of France. Over 1,650km in 13 days."
One of the cricket club player's grandmother suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and is a keen fan of the club.
SMA is a genetic disease that causes muscle weakness and progressive loss of movement.
They will also raise money for the cricket club.
Luke Cottrell is driving the support vehicle for the group.
Mr Fortnam said: "It has got to the point now where I can't work out if I am excited or nervous. Myself and Andy haven't done anything like this before. It is the unknown."
They are also holding a charity ball and auction on May 3 at The Stables Conference Centre in Canon Frome at 7.30pm. Tickets are £30 a head. Email canonfromecycle@outlook.com.
