Music and...Faith
Described by Classic FM in 2012 as 'the nation's favourite living composer', Paul Mealor has created a body of work for choir that crosses many divides, from the deeply spiritual (Ubi caritas, witten for the wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton) to the lyrical and joyous (the chart-topping Wherever you are, written for Gareth Malone and the Military Wives' Choir) to the dark and mysterious (the Farthest Shore, written for the BBC Singers). All are bound by one thing: Mealor's deep Christian faith. In this talk, Professor Mealor discusses his faith and its impact upon his music.
Today, 4pm, Left Bank, Hereford.
