THIS photo shows a car which was destroyed by a fire in Shobdon.
Firefighters were called to the B4362 at around 1.30am last Friday and found a car well alight on arrival.
They used two breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to put out the flames.
Local resident, Mike Evans, who did not own the car said: "I was woken by a car alarm at 1.30 am and on looking out of the window could see flames rising about 20ft in the air and clouds of black smoke.
"Firemen arrived and put it out but the car is a wreck. It is only a couple of years old and had been parked for four hours before the fire."
