THE Royal British Legion in Ross-on-Wye paid their respects to those who landed at Suvla Bay in Gallipoli in 1915.
The branch set up a stand under the Market House in Ross on Sunday, August 9- 100 years after the Herefordshire Regiment landed at Suvla Bay.
There were 750 men from the regiment who landed ashore on August 8 and 9.
Mary Sinclair Powell and Margaret Jones researched all the memorials in the HR9 area and created an archive full of information enabling people to trace their ancestors.
