ONE of Herefordshire's most famous residents has helped raise over £25,000 for the county charity Taste for Adventure.
Brummie Stokes, who founded the Credenhill-based charity in 1991, was a guest speaker at a fundraising dinner and auction held at the Shirehall.
Former Director-General of the Confederation of British Industry, Sir Digby Jones, also spoke at the event which was attended by around 200 guests.
Items at the auction included the use of holiday apartments in Thailand and Ibiza, a signed rugby ball and a day at the races.
Taste for Adventure helps less able and less privileged people of all ages by helping them fulfil their potential through outdoor challenge.
The money raised will mean more people can continue to benefit from their service.
