VOLUNTEERS at a county charity are planning to walk from Hereford to Rome to raise funds for a new minibus.
The Friends and Supporters of the St Owens Centre - an independent charity looking after the welfare of adults with learning disabilities - are well on the way to collecting a handsome total having already collected over £2,000.
The expedition, taking place next year, is necessary because the current minibus is becoming less reliable.
Members of the charity, housed in Symonds Street, own the minibus which is essential for the effective operation of the centre.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the group should call 01432 355005.
