A LARGE entry and strong competition are expected at this year's Mansel Lacy Soap Box Derby.
The popular event, which sees competitors racing in makeshift carts, has received such interest that organisers have considered putting a limit on entry numbers.
Along with county teams, entries have so far come in from Bristol, Wigan and Suffolk.
Money raised from the Foxley Park event, which takes place on Sunday June 10, will go to the city's Macmillan Renton Cancer Appeal.
Other entertainment for spectators will include stunt motorcyclists, a raging bull ride and a display of vintage and classic cars.
Entries are still invited and interested parties can contact Cal Edwards on 01981 590625.
