LESS mobile people in Herefordshire are being urged not to miss out on the opportunity to explore some of the county's countryside.
Organisers of this year's Herefordshire Walking Festival have included three walks suitable for users of electric mobility vehicles and another walk which can also be accessed by the less mobile.
Two of the treks for mobility vehicle users are at Queenswood Country Park where people can bring along their own machines or reserve one by calling 01568 797842. A third trek looks at 'The Hidden History of Leominster' and a fourth is on High Vinnalls All Ability Trail which can be can be accessed by wheelchair.
The Queenswood tours on June 22 and 23 will be on accessible surfaced paths and there will be stops to talk about wildlife, trees and archaeology. The Leominster history walk, is on June 20 from 10.30am until noon, when people taking part will view and learn stories from the movers and shakers of Leominster's past. The route is also fully accessible by wheelchair.
High Vinnalls All Ability Trail is being held on June 18 from 10.30am until 11.30am. The trail which covers an all-weather, easy access surface, takes in a variety of habitats and two wildlife ponds.
Herefordshire Walking Festival, runs from June 16 to 24, and tickets can be booked at the Festival Office on 01568 797842 or via the website where walkers can download a brochure and book on line.
