CENTRAL Trains is providing more seats on their busiest evening commuter service from Birmingham to stations in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The new Central Trains timetable begins on May 20 and from Monday (21st) the popular 17.19 departure from Birmingham New Street to Worcester and Hereford will be lengthened from three to four carriages providing an extra 76 seats.
The 16.59 and 12.59 departures from Birmingham New Street to Worcester and Hereford as well as the busy 07.35 departure from Hereford to Worcester and Birmingham will also have more capacity as a different model of train, with more seats, will serve the route.
In addition, the 09.15 service from Worcester Foregate Street to Birmingham Snow Hill will call additionally at Blakedown and Hagley to fill a gap in morning services.
National Express Group has acquired nine additional fast, modern trains to provide an extra 36 carriages across the Central Trains Network. The extra trains will also free-up existing trains to provide more capacity where they are needed elsewhere on the Central Trains network, and what's more, some of the extra trains will be kept on standby as replacements should they be needed.
