Spanish wine exclusive at Hay Festival.
Spanish wine exclusively will be sampled, drunk and bought at this year's Hay Festival. "Wines from Spain", the body responsible for the promotion of Spanish wine in the U.K. will have the only wine marquee at the Hay Festival. Over the whole ten days of the festival, visitors will be invited to sample a vast array of different styles of Spanish wines, hailing from all over Spain and made from a whole host of indigenous Spanish grape varieties. There are, in fact, 66 demarcated quality regions and over 40 native grape varieties in Spain. The range of wines at Hay will reflect the rich diversity of Spanish wines, from deep, robust reds, to zingy fresh whites to characterful rosés and zinging Cavas.
Approximately eight wine merchants will be pouring their wines and will be on hand to provide background information, making this a real opportunity to learn about Spanish wines. Wines can also be bought by the bottle or case at the festival.
Spain, Spanish culture and Spanish wines are close to the heart of many British people, with lots visiting Spain on a regular basis. Wine lovers keen to discover interesting, characterful and delicious wines are guaranteed success at the Spanish wine marquee at the Hay Festival.
