UP to 5,000 empty envelopes have been landing on doorsteps with the milk recently.
And dairy men and women who deliver the milk hope the envelopes will have something in them when they call for the empties. For several years people working for John Matthews and Bartonsham Dairies have been supporting appeals made by Macmillan Support.
They have already raised £21,000 and this year hope to boost the total and raise funds for the Macmillan Renton Cancer Appeal.
They do it by distributing envelopes with the milk and inviting their customers to put a donation inside.
Appeal fundraising manager Ron Davies said he was grateful for what the milk men and women were doing, their contribution to the appeal was of great importance.
He urged customers to be generous and return their envelopes to the milk people as soon as possible.
