A NINE-year-old from the county has won top prize in a Marie Curie Cancer Care painting competition.
Budding artist Jacques Lewis, from St Weonards Primary School, came first in the Mini Pots of Care competition - a fundraising initiative for schoolchildren across Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester.
The children painted special mini pots which contained daffodils that they planted as bulbs last autumn.
They took home the pots on March 1 to launch the Great Daffodil Appeal, Marie Curie's annual flagship fundraising campaign.
Jacques has been awarded a children's three-piece mini tool set, donated by Homebase, with St Weonards School receiving £50 of book vouchers, donated by Yellow Pages.
